I take you step by step through the various stages of reduction of an Oregon point type that is somewhat difficult to manufacture. I demonstrate a variety of techniques from beginner to expert in skill level.

congratulations! make a video and I’ll be impressed. I use bone more than copper. I don’t knap to prove anything to anyone except myself. The video was made for the beginner. I recommend copper for beginers. I repect your views however, you’re just a little too cocky.

Keokuk chert and obsidian flakes for beginners. Learn to pressure flake arrowheads first. Save the big stuff for when you understand what to do with it. The laws of stone fracture will remain the same.

I get my obsidian from the glass buttes area in Oregon and davis creek california. Mexico has some really nice stuff too but is harder to get. Craig Ratzat of neolithics . com sells top grade stone.

Great video, but may I suggest you strap that gate shut in the background. It’s like nails on a chalk board. Otherwise. Great stuff.

Thanks for the compliments! I strive to do the best I can do. I appreciate any feeback I can get. I’ve learned to balance the point on my leg over the years. Helps keep me focused.

Thank you for presenting your work and techniques. Your videos are very helpful and I appreciate this ‘extra’ film work. You’ve done well showing the details. You made nervous balancing the point on you leg when filing your pressure tip. It turned-out great!
