Does anyone know what this “little” white stone carving is?

bullfrog1995 asked:

I found this very small maybe inch and a half carved stone "idle" at a beach in Massachusetts you can tell it has been worn by the sea. I am very curious as to what it could be or where it came from.

here is a picture: http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m77/thechickenmonkey/Thing.jpg

Thank you

  1. I think it is a native american carving, they are commonly found on the beaches in your area. I saw them on a past episode of “History detectives” You might check their website.

Jasper is probably right – it certainly is interesting, it looks like alabaster to me, but I couldn’t be sure. Anyway, best of luck in researching what it is and let us know.
